On Saturday, October 24th 2015, Anaheim held their annual Halloween parade and our restaurant got into the spirit. We hosted our very first Unearthly Umami Halloween Party. We transformed our location into a spooky space where you could enjoy some good food while you watched the ghosts, goblins, and witches walking by. $30 got you two drink tickets, sliders and sides.
In the spirit of Halloween we made photo booth props to have on our tables for everyone to snap some photos and share on Instagram. This DIY was very easy to make and could be a perfect addition to your Halloween (or any holiday) party. Below is our step-by-step instruction on how to create these yourself.
What you will need:
Your computer and a printer.
12” — 3/16” dowels.
Glue gun with glue sticks.
Set up your design on either Microsoft word or Photoshop. We created ours on Photoshop. We wanted to have #boomami on the back of ours so we created a separate sheet to print on the back.
Tip: before you print on your cardstock, print out your design on regular printer paper to make sure you are happy with the size and that your front and back design align. Adjust where needed, it make take a few tries before you get it perfectly how you want it.
After you print out your design on cardstock, cut out your design.
Step three: take your glue gun and glue your dowels to the side of your design. Once the glue has dried you’re done and ready to use!
